YS Falls is one of the
best spots in
Jamaica to enjoy nature. You
will find this to be more than a visit, it will be an unforgettable
experience.
After paying US$15 at the main office you will enjoy a somewhat bumpy ride by a tractor pulled coach to the location. You will discover great photo opportunities on this ten minute scenic journey. From grazing cattle to storybook like landscapes, you can take great photos to show off when you get back home!
This amazing natural attraction consists of breathtaking waterfalls, lush gardens with stately trees. Seven waterfalls which cascade into natural pools provide an irresistible invitation for you to take a dip. There are non-swimming zones in the rockier parts of the river and these are indicated by signs. The ever present life guards ensure a safe time for all but being able to swim is a requirement.
The canopy tour is sure to get your adrenaline pumping as you zip through the air 40 feet above ground surrounded by the thick tropical jungle. The view of the waterfalls is even more spectacular from the air but that's only if you are brave enough to keep your eyes open or focus while you scream! No need to worry though, it’s perfectly safe and you will receive a thorough safety tutorial from the guides who are on duty at all times.
This is an experience not to be missed for an additional US$30 per adult and US$20 for children.
If you are not brave at heart then no worries. YS
falls also offers the less adventurous but equally fun-filled option of river
tubing with experienced guides who will point out the natural features of
the rivers, its springs and all the surroundings.
If your only desire is to relax, then enjoy the
spring fed pool at the base of the falls. At only 4 feet, with smooth pebble
stones you will be rejuvenated as you enjoy the natural wonders of Jamaica.
