Renowned for its great jerk dishes, Pork Pit offers pork, chicken, ribs, shrimps (I’m torn between the ribs and the shrimps) and lots more jerked meats complemented with bammies, roasted sweet potatoes and yams…all at great prices.
For the real Jamaican experience, eating here is a must! Be warned, this is not a fancy restaurant and meats are jerked in an open coal pit covered by zincs. However, do not let this dissuade you as the spices and herbs are best revealed through this method of cooking.
Grab some coconut water to wash your food down and a spicy cup of soup to begin your trek into Jamaica!
