Jamaican Beaches
Only when you have experienced Jamaican beaches you will truly
understand that all beaches are not created equal. Our beautiful island
has hundreds of miles of spectacular beaches and it’s our mission to
visit and describe every single one for you. This will certainly take
us some time as we are in no rush! We intend to explore and enjoy the
beauty of each beach.
You would think we know all the beaches, right? After all, to the
outside world we are perceived as laid back, lounging on the beach and
smoking marijuana! This couldn’t be further from the truth. Many of us
are just too busy to find the time to fully explore and truly
appreciate the beauty of our beaches.
Every visitor that I have met has been head-over-heels in love with
our beaches. Even other tropical islands envy our miles of sparkling
white sand and crystal clear waters. And now we will enjoy it too,
starting with the beaches in the resort towns of Montego Bay (Mobay)
and Ocho Rios taking you along the coastline to Negril and Portland and
then to the capital city of Kingston.
Are you ready, because we are!
Aquasol Beach
My first trip was to Aquasol because it is along Gloucester Avenue
which is closest to the town of MoBay. The first great thing about this
beach is that it has lots of parking. (As a new driver, this is truly
appreciated). So after paying a small fee of JA $350 (US$5), I was
ready to go soak up the sun.

Cornwall Beach
The recently renovated Cornwall Beach is a white sand gem of a Jamaican
beach, a little further from the town, along the hip strip of Montego
Bay. It is the perfect beach to have a lazy, laid-back Sunday afternoon
lounging in the Caribbean sun. I did, however, give in to the
temptation to play a lively game of volley ball on the sparkling white
sand...

Sunset Beach
If you’re not big on swimming or you only want to get your feet wet,
then Sunset Beach (otherwise called Dead-end) is perfect! This is found
a little past the hip strip in Montego Bay and is not to be confused
with Sunset Resort & Spa. This beach is a popular hangout spot for
Montegonians because of the amazing sunsets. As a bonus you can even
watch airplanes land and take off from the Donald Sangster
International Airport!
